Fancy Affairs

Rented a bunch of stuff for our wedding. Some of it looked really great while other stuff s in very bad condition. Awful communication.
Cutlery, crockery and glassware s in good condition and looked very nice. The cake stands and 3-tier stands for the desserts were also great. The glass domes that we got for the the cake stands were too narrow at the top and would squash the tops of the cakes, so we could not use them. I enquired about the dimensions multiple times over , no reply. Eventually d and spoke to Prudence, but she couldn't really give me an answer, just gave me the dimension of the bottom diameter which I already got from the website.
White table cloths had a few stains/discoloration spots. We covered it with table decor for the most part. Stone cloth napkins were in good condition.
Wooden folding chairs were extremely wonky and had multiple areas with visible damage (ranging from scratches in the varnish to deep chips and gouges). Cushions covers were stained and the inner foams were peeping out of the covers at the pocket seams, since the velcro did not stick at all any more.
Logistics of the delivery and collection were exhausting. They missed the original time slots for both delivery and collection, and getting a hold of anyone s a mess. They confirmed multiple times that they would be able to collect from the venue on the discussed date despite it being a public holiday. When they missed the collection slot, they stated the holiday s the reason and only came the next day, which s a headache.
I had to follow up more than once on the deposit before they replied and paid it back.

We recently hired cross back chairs with cushions and champagne coolers from Fancy Affairs for a 90th birthday celebration at home. We drove through to the Fancy Affairs offices to try out the various chair options (as several guests at our function were older people, who require more comfortable seating). Mark's service s incredible. He brought a selection of chairs closer to the car, allowing my mother to easily try out the chairs. He then introduced me to Prudence who handled our requirements. Once again, the service received s superb! She stayed in contact until the day of the delivery. The friendly delivery team were perfectly on time and collected the day after our function. The chairs, cushions and coolers were all in perfect condition. What a great team of people! Thank you for dazzling us with your service!

I tried to book quite a few glasses from the establishment for a big event, but they hung up on me when i tried to enquire if there are enough, and started ignoring my s. Choose Silver Spoon Hire instead, they are much more friendly and will make sure to get your glasses on time!

They were amazing at sorting out a last-minute event! Prudence s helpful, clear and ensured absolute efficiency.
I look forward to using FancyAffairs in the future for events.

We had to cancel due to my daughter getting Covid. Fancy Affairs were only prepared to refund about 20% despite having incurred little to no cost. It s in line with t’s and c’s but feels wrong to be profiting off others misfortune. So be aware of the stringent policy and know that it will be strictly applied.

I honestly enjoyed the service, very quick as everything s packed and ready for collection when I arrived. (I opted to collect). The pictures on the website are true to the real product. A great variety of products!!! I received all the crockery and cutlery clean and glistening! Thank you Fancy Affairs!

At drop off zone the ladies extreamly unfriendly. Insisted i off load the hired goods by myself. They even gossip an sly remarks to her colleagues about me asking for assistance.
Do not recommend anyone to support this company.

Service is really not great. The person handling my enquiry seemed very uninterested seeing as I had to chase after her to respond to my mails and get an order sorted. Very rude on s. Everyone is busy this time of the year, no reason for bad service though. Would not recommend.

So efficient, punctual and friendly! s a pleasure to work with them and will definitely be using them for future events. Thank you Fancy Affairs team!
