I can’t believe I’m only writing this review now but looking back at the photos, I’m still in awe! The day before Valentine’s Day, I contacted Jems in a panic! I needed something and fast 🙊 Adele s amazing in helping me organize a beautiful Valentine’s day dinner box for R350pp. It s a 3 course meal that we could reheat and plate at home. I had my suspicions about how the food would taste considering it would need to be reheated and WOW! It s better than many sit down meals I’ve ever had. The box came with reheating suggestions, plating instructions and all the garnish and fancy edible toppings that made the dishes look like they came right out of a professional kitchen! Thank you again for saving the day and doing a damn fine job at it too!

3 course meal for only 4 people at our house: Seamless, professional arrangement and delivery. Portions and plating were perfect and the food s delicious. Thank you JEM catering!

OK, you don't have to believe me, but 5 Star I seldom give.
Johan and Luche only impressed! From the tasting food that we had, to the big night off the wedding where 230 guests had to be fed, everything where handled in a very professional and calm manner. All we requested were delivered, exceeding our expectations. The food were fantastic, rm, on time and very well presented. They went out off their y to make the event a very special occasion.
Thank You Guys, you were Awesome !!!!!

UPDATE TO THE BELOW REVIEW - POST THE FUNCTION
All I can say is WOW!!! The food s amazing, and met all of our expectations. The staff however were all next level superstars. The guy in charge, Gary, is absolutely fantastic. He has the exact disposition you would expect of someone who really understands service excellence. Wherever you looked, there s Gary, taking care of the finer details. If Gary had a question about something, he would discretely come up to me, lean in, and give me the info, in the most unobtrusive but effective manner. If we tried to do anything ourselves, there s Gary, reminding us that this s our event, and he would take care of it. I cannot recommend these guys enough!!

This post s initially a one star complaint, re the lack of engagement when trying to do business with Jems. Subsequent to my review, I s promptly contacted by Riaan, who s very engaging around my experience - My interaction with him completely transformed the experience from bad to good - I commend Jems and Riaan, for caring enough to turn the experience around - clearly an indication of good business.

Have really enjoyed the take aways meals from JEM especially the Mother's day meal. Food is yummy, well packed and clear instructions on heating. Normally order on their number - very responsive. My delivery instructions have been followed on all occasions.

My wife brought home a number of menu items from a function that s catered by JEM. If I could rate JEM 6/5 stars, I would. That's because JEM's food raised the bar so much, that everyone else looks amateurish by comparison. If you need a caterer for a function, do yourself and your guests a favour - hire JEM. Because no one else is the same.

They catered for our wedding and did a terrible job. They put on a good show during the taste testing but couldn't deliver anything they had shown us on the day. One of the worst experiences of my life. If you choose them - you do so at your own risk!

Well, they produce home cooked meals both fresh and frozen now, and the food is totally delicious and such value for money. The care taken to produce the food is very clear. They have become our new favourite "take away" place. Go to their website and check out the food they make.
