A team of friends and I were looking at options for a workshop and activity space for a large camp at Burning Man. Burning Man can feature high winds and harsh conditions - so we did some research around the potential suitability of stretch tents for this environment.
We found Freeform after discovering their video of one of their stretch tents suriviving a super-typhoon - which s impressive - as safety s a significant concern. We then reached out to Freeform tents for further information and a quote.
Even though we decided not to proceed (in part because (1) we only needed a tent for 7 days and (2) purchasing a whole stretch tent for a short time period s a significant outlay) - Freeform were very helpful, professional and responsive.
In particular, they gave us consultative grade advice about what would ensure safety / structural security - and spotted mistakes in recommendations made by an alternate vendor that could have led to safety issues.
They also took the time to understand our requirements and carefully think through what we had asked for. Instead of us quoting for the kind of stretch tent "we thought we needed", they suggested an alternate structure and told us how we could rig it for safety in conditions with potential high winds and erratic weather.
